One to remember for the next negotiations with Oracle

Says Safra Catz, Oracle Co-President and CFO:

We get to keep virtually all of that (maintenance) money.

When many customers just send you money for something you’re doing anyway, you literally can’t help [but increase profits]

I get a bad taste in my mouth when I hear one argument from SAP for the increase of maintenance being the general industry practise. If Oracle is going to keep all the maintenance money as profits, the others do the same. And then asking for an increase. Which weed do they smoke in Walldorf?
